Sister Rita X is a radio personality, who is also a member of The Nation of Islam. Sister Rita X joined The Nation of Islam under the Leadership of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his National Representative The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan in 1979. At the age of 21 Sister Rita X quickly became inspired to spread the teachings of these two great Men, taught by Allah who came in The person of Master Fard Muhammad in the form of radio.

During her early years Sister Rita X attended Mary Grove College in Detroit, MI. While attending College Sister Rita X studies included Criminal Law, where her aim was to become a successful trial lawyer. Truth, Freedom Justice, Equality, and up holding the law was always dear to Sister Rita X heart. But soon Sister Rita X also known as “Radio Rita” passion for Islam and it’s teaching lead her to drop out of school, with the focus of helping The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan in rebuilding The Nation of Islam.

Through out the early 1980’s Sister Rita X successfully debated the teachings of The Nation of Islam on the airwaves. Where she would catch the attention of the entire radio community including listeners from around the world. Sister Rita X popularity also reached as far as New Zealand and South Africa in the mid 1980’s. During a incident in her hometown of Detroit, MI Sister Rita X would successfully boycott a ill mannered business. Actively involved in her community this boycott lasted 90 days, in doing so Sister Rita X would catch the attention of the local media and the entire country.

After the 90 day boycott she was invited to The National House of The Nation of Islam, which is the home of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Minister Farrakhan also personally asked Sister Rita X to stop her boycott stating she proved her point. While at the home of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan Sister Rita X was given the name “Trumpet” during her stay in 1988.

Continuing her works on the airwaves and in her community Sister Rita X helped to inspire Farrakhan related skits on the 90’s popular show “In Living Color”. Sister Rita X was also instrumental in helping to register and send 100,000 Black Men to the Million Man March from Detroit, MI alone in 1995. Sister Rita X continues to be a student of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, his National Representative The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, and a member of The Nation of Islam. Recently Sister Rita X co founded Trumpet X Entertainment in 2009. Sister Rita X continues to teach Islam on the airwaves and continually battles with the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity on the airwaves.
